Scope of Work:  The scope of this award is to test the use of a heterogeneous condensing surface as a means for increase heat transfer capability and higher efficiency in Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems. After long term performance testing is complete, a report will be prepared that documents the final condenser design, findings and analysis on condenser performance and fouling, an account of the costs associated with procuring and applying the hydrophobic coating, and outlines next steps and hurdles towards commercialization of the technology.
