Scope of Work:  Reconstruct the Whittier Small Boat Harbor (WSBH) facility. The reconstruction includes replacement of gangways, floats, approaches, and the water supply and electrical systems. The original overall WSBH project includes the following components: replacing existing float systems, access trestles and gangways, east boat ramp harbor office; dredging and adding slope stabilization along the south harbor basin shoreline to provide additional acreage for constructing new moorage floats; and eliminating the west boat ramp and west grid. The new floats will be accessed via a single centrally located, double wide access trestle and gangway. The original plan was revised and the new plan and design reflects a modified scope, which now includes an access platform and connection float and does not include the harbor office. The Commission is funding the portion of the project that includes the replacement of trestles and gangways, floats, and approaches.
